Why detail my car?
Detailing is just what the name implies: A very meticulous, detailed cleaning of all surfaces of your car. It is much more than just vacuuming and dressing surfaces; more than taking out the trash! Your car takes a harsh beating getting you to places. Lots of damage to its exterior takes place because of uv rays, contaminants and other weather elements. The interior suffers too - sand, salt, gravel, dried leaves, pet hair, messy spills... every day usage can quickly add up on a car. PoliShine takes your car back to its original state. In many cases we make it even better than when you bought it!
Will steam damage my car's exterior?
No. Steam is completely safe for the exterior of your car. We make sure to apply the right amount of pressure and steam and to regulate the temperature to make it effective and harmless. We use new or freshly washed microfiber towels to do the job, so there are no scratches added to your car.
How long does the detailing take?
We estimate the time based on your vehicle size and on the services you are looking for, as well as on the condition of your vehicle. Because we work hard to make sure everything is perfect we can't always be precise on the time, but we will do our best to give you a timeframe upon inspection of the vehicle, and also, of course, to meet your needs.
How do I know if my car is heavily soiled?
That can be hard to do. With all the cars we have detailed we've come to notice that heavily soiled can vary from one client to another, simply because we all perceive things differently, and that's ok. So, to make it a little easier for you, we have selected a few pictures of heavily soiled vehicles to give you an idea.
Does PoliShine restore carpets?
Unfortunately no. We dry steam the carpet to clean it, remove all stains and improve the overall appearance of your carpet. Some spills, particularly any with reddish dyes, can actually damage and dye carpet and upholstery fibers. Color changes from these spills are permanent unless the material is replaced or re-dyed.
What are the benefits of dry steam cleaning for my car's interior?
Dry Steam detailing not only cleans the interior of your vehicle. It sanitizes it. It eliminates odours .The high temperature of the steam kills all bacteria ,mold and allergens that may be living inside your car, which makes it an amazing choice for people who suffer from allergies. It is a great choice for everybody looking for healthy alternatives, really. All surfaces are steam cleaned from top to bottom, front panels to back. All air ducts. Everything. There are no harsh chemicals involved in the process - if you have fabric seats there dry and ready to go. No water or residue in the carpets. Just a clean, fresh smelling and sanitized car!
Why avoid the coin-op carwashes?
It can be very damaging to the exterior finish of your car. The brushes at the coin-operated carwashes carry so much debries from other cars. You may not have washed sand or salt off your wheels before washing your vehicles body, but lots of other people have. All that gets scrubbed into your finish resulting in horrible scratches. The drive thru automated car washes do the same damage with the big bristles they apply to the exterior of your car. That's why you should always call us to make sure your car gets the right treatment.
What does PoliShine need to come to my place?
We need access to two power outlets and enough working space. We need to be able to have the vehicle's doors open and enough to go around it with our equipment (look out for things as low hanging tree branches, parked cars or anything else that would limit our access to our van or to your vehicle). We also need your vehicle to be cleared of all personal belongings. We always like to be able to do our pre-inspection with our clients as well as a walk-around the vehicle after the detailing is complete, just to make sure you are completely happy with our service.
